Click the download button above. Unzip od-companion.zip to a folder on your computer. Don't delete the folder after — Chrome needs it to stay there.
Open Chrome Extensions
Go to chrome://extensions in your address bar. Toggle Developer mode on (top-right switch).
Load the Extension
Click Load unpacked. Select the od-companion folder you just unzipped. That's it.
Open OptionDepth
Go to app.optionsdepth.com, open the Depth View table, and the companion panel appears automatically on the right side.
FAQ
Is this free?
Yes, completely free. No accounts, no tracking, no data collection. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Do I need an OptionDepth subscription?
Yes. OD Companion reads the Depth View table on app.optionsdepth.com, so you need an active OptionDepth account to see data.
Does it send my data anywhere?
No. The extension runs entirely in your browser. It reads the page you're already viewing and does all analysis locally. Zero network requests.
Why "Load unpacked" instead of the Chrome Web Store?
This is a community tool distributed directly. Loading unpacked is how Chrome handles extensions outside the store. It works exactly the same — you'll just see a small "Developer mode" banner occasionally.
Works on Brave / Edge?
Yes. Any Chromium-based browser supports unpacked extensions. Same steps — just use your browser's extensions page.
How do I update?
Download the latest .zip, replace the old folder contents, then click the refresh icon on your extensions page. Done.
